Round Tapered Tuff-Pole
Shakespeare’s Round Tapered Tuff-Poles® are built using a specialized filament winding process on custom in-house manufacturing equipment. Fiberglass strands, saturated with pigmented resin, are spirally wound onto a rotating, heated mandrel under consistent, computer-controlled tension for precision and repeatability—a process pioneered by Shakespeare.

The result is a strong, one-piece composite pole with a smooth, uniform finish. Each pole is made of at least 65% fiberglass and no more than 35% polyester resin by weight. UV inhibitors are built into the resin as part of a comprehensive protection system.

Once cooled, poles are fitted with tenons and optional hardware, then finished, drilled, and coated according to customer specifications—all under computer control. The final coating is a proprietary UV-inhibiting polyurethane.
