The room based wireless sensor is an integral part of the WaveLinx system offering passive Infra red (PIR) occupancy sensing and photocell for open loop daylighting. WaveLinx ceiling sensors have coverage patterns up to 1500 sq-ft. The room based sensor is battery powered and is one of the smallest ceiling mounted room based wireless sensors on the market. The sensor operates on a wireless mesh network based on IEEE 802.15.4 standards. The sensor offers three tool-less mounting options for easy installation. It also offers masking options to maximize control flexibility. The sensor in combination with the WaveLinx mobile application allows for considerable energy savings from occupancy sensing-based control of lighting and plug loads, as well as daylight sensing-based control of lighting. The WaveLinx mobile application allows mapping of the sensor to any area or control zone, select occupancy or vacancy, occupied and unoccupied light levels and set the time-out.
